What is on Offer to Organisations

The MCMC Project is looking to engage with local community development and social economy organisations, which may be interested in providing placement opportunities for young people who are not currently in education, employment or training, whilst they undertake a community development employment and training programme.

We are looking for locally based organisations to offer work based placement opportunities within their realm of operations.

All participating organisations will be offered

  • Ongoing, comprehensive support throughout from project staff
  • An individually matched, enthusiastic young person to undertake placement
  • Relevant, responsive & up to date information
  • Opportunities to network & exchange information
  • Inclusion in project promotional materials
  • The opportunity to provide more choices and more chances to local young people

What we are offering Volunteers

The MCMC Project is looking to recruit volunteers to support young people in the Clackmannanshire area who are not in education, employment or training. As a volunteer, you would be asked to mentor/befriend a young person, and support them to access information, advice, services and opportunities.

We are looking for young people to volunteer as Peer Mentors, as well as to recruit a number of mentors from various backgrounds. No formal qualifications or experience is necessary, as full training and ongoing support will be given.

All volunteers will be offered

  • Ongoing, comprehensive support from project staff
  • A specifically selected & individually matched young person to mentor
  • A mentoring buddy for additional personal support
  • Relevant, responsive & up to date information
  • The opportunity to meet interesting new people & challenges
