Reachout with Arts in Mind

Reachout is based in Alloa and is

• a community capacity building project;
• an arts project;
• a mutual aid project;
• a popular adult learning project utilising the arts to facilitate learning experiences for members, the wider community and professional service providers, about mental health issues, eg
  • drama,
  • music,
  • poetry,
  • sculpture,
  • exhibitions,
  • outreach events.

Reachout is self managed by members, giving them the sense of ownership and commitment is a significant factor in Reachout's success.

Workshops

All workshops are free for local adults experiencing mental ill health and/or interested in the creative and performing Arts.

Recent Events

Exhibitions

Reachout members' artworks were on exhibition at The Advocacy Place Alloa, Carsebridge House Alloa as well as a rolling show in Connections Gallery Falkirk District Royal Infirmary 20th July - 28th August.

Reachout exhibitions group 'Art 'N' Mind' also exhibited a hugely successful show in early summer 2009 at Scion House Innovation Park Stirling University. 23 members showcased their artwork ranging from fused glass jewellery, paintings and sculpture. Thanks to everyone who supported this event & raffle which raised funds for Reachout.

Garden Party

Reachout were delighted to be chosen to represent Clackmannanshire at The Queen's Garden Party Holyrood Palace on 30th June 2009. 6 representatives enjoyed a fabulous networking experience in the glorious gardens at Holyrood. Well done to everyone involved in Reachout on their personal and organisational achievements.
