The Sauchie War Memorial» View location map

This site is situated adjacent to Sauchie Hall on the north west corner of the junction between Mar Place and Fairfield Road in Sauchie. The site is flat and level with a block paving access path leading off the south access path to the hall. The memorial stands on the centre a circular paved area toward the middle of this area of ground. The surrounding landscaping is grass with a low stone retaining wall forming the boundary to the street. There is an array of eight small conifers planted around the memorial. The paving is extended beyond the centre circle to the north east to incorporate a bench seat.

The memorial comprises an elaborate cross with two winged angels each standing on a projecting plinth placing a crown at the centre of the cross. The cross is on a plain octagonal column resting on a chamfered square stepped plinth. The plinth has three relief panels each containing bronze plaques with one surface mounted title plaque.
