Business Improvement and Technology Services (BITS) works in partnership with all Services across the council, assisting them to examine the way they work and to identify potential improvements.
This often involves changing the business processes and developing new ways of working, including the use of information and communication technologies and systems. Focussing on these areas provides best value, efficiency and an improved customer experience for users of council services.
BITS is also responsible for coordinating and delivering the "Customer First" Programme, which is the Council's ongoing change programme.
The Service is made up of the following functions:
- Business Improvement
Responsible for Best Value, Corporate and Service Planning, Risk Management, Performance Management and the council's business change programme. - Customer Service
Responsible for leading on the delivery of the council's Customer Service strategy and operational delivery and expansion of the council's Customer Contact Centre. - Information Technology (IT) Services
Responsible for assisting services with the specification of IT business needs and the subsequent procurement, commissioning, installation and maintenance of the council's data and voice infrastructure and mobile communications. - Procurement
Responsible for the provision and development of policy, strategy and operational Procurement Service within Clackmannanshire Council.
