Business Support Team
Business Support, a central resource within Strategy and Customer Services, delivers professional administration services that are recognised as being a valuable resource throughout the Council.
The service customer base includes:
- The Directors Group, managers and staff across the Council at all levels and work locations.
- The Council's Elected Members
We also provide a range of administration services directly to residents living in Clackmannanshire and organisations working in partnership with the Council.
Our main areas of responsibility include:
- Support services for the Council's senior management team, managers and staff at all levels and work locations
- Committee support including maintaining the cycle of dates for Council meetings and committees
- Procedural advice on matters affecting governance - voting rights, committee structure, terms of reference etc
- Project assistance
- Diary management
- Customer service
- Development and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets
- Hospitality, accommodation and travel bookings
- Mail management
- Records management
- Photocopying and scanning services
- Elected Member support services
- Meeting administration including minute taking
- Arrangements for civic events
- Making and advertising road orders on road works, speed restrictions, parking restrictions and other changes to Clackmannanshire's roads.
- Administration for the Joint Children's Panel Advisory Committee.
- Payment of means tested grants.
- Assessing eligibility for National Entitlement Card.
- Assessing eligibility for the national blue badge scheme
The Council's shared service arrangements for the delivery of Business Support provides opportunities to share knowledge, streamline work practices, direct resources to meet identified needs and improve skills development opportunities to help pave the way for staff career progression.
