2001 Scottish Census Statistics

The Census of Population is the main source of small area statistics on population. The Census is taken every 10 years: the last was held on Sunday 29th April 2001.

A copy of the full 2001 Population Report, the accompanying news release and further supporting material is available on the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS) website.

Census 2011

The 2011 Census is set to be held on Sunday 27th March 2011. For further information go to General Register Office for Scotland (GROS) website.
