Employment by Occupation of Clackmannanshire Residents

The distribution of employed workers by occupation over the last four years is illustrated below for Clackmannanshire residents. There has been a steady increase in people working as managers and senior officials. Occupations which have a noticeably smaller share are process plant and machine operators, personal service and administrative and secretarial. Employment in elementary occupations continues to be substantial for Clackmannanshire workers.

The data used to show the distribution between occupations are for All employed people in Clackmannanshire, not just those of working age in employment. Data for 2007 shows that around 1,000 people working beyond retirement age are still in the Clackmannanshire workforce by comparison to 300-400 in the previous 3 years.
