Forthcoming Elections

Most regular election dates are fixed by the relevant legislation. The exception is of course for Westminster Parliamentary Elections where the Prime Minister may call a general election at any time.
- Westminister Parliament Election
Elections can be called by the Government at anytime but must occur at least every five years. The last parliamentary election was held on the 5th May 2005, so must take place some time before June 2010. - Scottish Parliament Election - 5th May 2011
- Local Government Election - 3rd May 2012
- Community Council Elections
The next elections for members of community councils are scheduled for 2010. Many Community Councils are however still short of memebrs - so if you feel you could help contribute to the area in which you live, please get in touch with us. - European Parliament Election - Thursday 5th June 2014
