Forthcoming Elections
Most regular election dates are fixed by the relevant legislation. The Fixed-term Parliaments Act was enacted on the 15 September 2011 and due to this the date of the next Westminster Parliament election will be Thursday 7 May 2015 with subsequent general elections being held on the first Thursday in May every five years.
- Local Government Election - 3rd May 2012
- Community Council Elections - held during 2012
- European Parliament Election - Thursday 5th June 2014
- Scottish Parliament Election - 5th May 2016
