Human Resources
Human Resources core objective is to promote organisation development in line with the corporate priorities of the Council. This means advising and supporting managers and employees in all services to promote effectiveness and efficiency in a culture which encourages positive motivation and empowerment of staff.
The Service's Core Functions include;
- corporate HR strategy & policy
- employee learning, training, and performance review and development
- personnel management, recruitment and selection, terms and conditions of employment, and standards of conduct
- employee and trade union relations and involvement,
- promoting equality and diversity in the workforce and the community
- health, safety and employee welfare
- workforce planning, job
