Money Advice Service

Effects of recession such as reduced incomes, job losses, and business failure, as well as other "life shocks" such as relationship breakdown or long-term illness or disability all contribute to Individuals and households struggling to avoid falling in to debt.
Despite debt being a regular feature in many people's lives and the widespread media reporting on this issue since the onset of the Credit Crunch, we believe there remains a general lack of awareness about where to turn for debt advice and assistance.
In many cases people are reluctant to talk about their financial situation for fear of embarrassment or shame but speaking to a experienced debt advisor as soon as possible can be a big help in successfully managing debt problems.
Enlisting the help of fee-charging debt-management companies can often leave people faced with complicated and costly decisions.
The Council's Advice Service, in contrast, is free, confidential and impartial, with our expert Debt Advisers on hand to explain the options available to help overcome and relieve the burden of debt.
The Team is based at Lime Tree House and we offer our service to anyone who lives in the Clackmannanshire area. See below for details of how to contact us.
