Parliamentary Elections

Elections for the Westminster Parliament are the only elections which do not stick to a pre-determined timetable. A Prime Minister is free to call an election at any time within their five year term of office.

The next Parliamentary election will be held sometime before May 2010

All votes cast in the Ochil and South Perthshire Constituency are counted in Alloa. The count usually takes until 2:30am or 3:00am to conclude.

The last election took place on Thursday May 5th 2005. The results can be viewed by visiting the Election Results area of this site.
