Restoration of Supplies Underway

Scotland Gas Network are in the process of reconnecting the gas supply in Dollar this evening (Wednesday) and hope to have the vast majority of the town reconnected by midnight.
Depending on how well they progress it is also hoped to introduce gas supplies tonight back into the village of Coalsnaughton.
The company are also progressing well in Tillicoultry.
The Council Facebook and Twitter pages will provide updates based on SGN's information on an hourly basis.
Clackmannanshire Council Chief Executive Elaine McPherson said: "The Council is working extremely closely with Scotland Gas Network and we are delighted at the progress which is being made in recommissioning the gas supply. Until the situation is completely resolved, the Council will continue to work with partners to ensure that vulnerable people receive appropriate support.
"Voluntary organisations and individuals in the community have provided magnificent assistance, whether through providing information about people they are worried about, helping deliver heaters or personally helping out neighbours. This effort is very much appreciated by everyone who is working hard to get things back to normal."
Council staff will remain in attendance with SGN staff at Tillicoultry Community Centre this evening and many others are on stand-by in case needed for any unanticipated event.
Social services have carried out 400 visits to vulnerable people and are carrying out additional welfare visits as required
