Dollar Drama Club

Spring/Summer UpdateScene from Men Should Weep

Dollar Drama Club's spring production, Men Should Weep by Ena Lamont Stewart, was exceptionally well-received, with full houses over the four performance nights.

The Club has received many warm compliments about this production, and would like to thank all those who took the time to pass their comments to the director, players or other club members.

Scene from Men Should WeepImmediately following the spring production, a casting session was held for the summer production of Book of the Month. Unfortunately, we were unable to cast this play as we were unable to find a young women who could manage the performance dates in early July.

This play will be held over for the autumn production, when we hope it will be possible to cast the play.

Theatre Dinner presentation

Instead of a full-length summer production, we are now going ahead with a Theatre Dinner presentation 'Day In/Day Out' as follows:-

  • Venue: Castle Campbell Hotel, Dollar
  • Dates: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 26th, 27th and 28th June.

So, think about starting the summer holiday season in style. Enjoy a fine three-course dinner at Castle Campbell Hotel, with the additional seasoning of two short comedies performed by Dollar Drama Club and directed by Byron Tilly:

  • Say Something Happens by Alan Bennett with Linda Rice, Charles Bell, and Elaine Stark
  • Day Trippers by Jean McConnell with Lynne Barlow and Jane McGill

To book tickets, please contact Castle Campbell Hotel direct on 01259 742519.
