Junior Library
As a member of the library you can borrow 12 books and keep them for 4 weeks. To become a member, ask to join at your local library.
Clackmannanshire libraries have brightly coloured junior and teenage sections where you are welcome to sit and browse a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books and audio CDs.
Babies have a special section devoted to them, with a good variety of 'pop-up' and 'touchy-feely' books.
Competitions
- Junior competitions are held twice a year, in the Spring and Autumn. They are usually themed and include colour-ins, art design and puzzles. Prizes are awarded at a ceremony in Alloa Library. A Christmas competition is held in December.
Junior Events
- During the Summer school holidays there is a programme of events for children, including magic shows, puppet shows, and arts and crafts sessions. The Summer Reading Challenge is also run over the holiday period.
For details of our part in the Bookbug Early Years Programme (for children from birth to four) please go to the Scottish Book Trust page.
