What do we do?
Leisure Services ...
- manage local halls and leisure centres;
- manage the specialist facilities at Firpark Ski Centre and Gartmorn Dam Fishery;
- produce a comprehensive programme of arts and entertainment activities and events;
- provide a wide range of recreational opportunities within Clackmannanshire;
- maintain development programmes in dance, gymnastics, snowsports and other areas;
- provide leisure and recreation opportunities for the whole community, from pre-school to prime time and everyone in between.
Activities & Events
The Activities & Events Team provide
- leisure classes;
- health awareness and health improvement projects;
- civic entertainments;
- Prime Time 50+;
- one off and annual events;
- a community training programme in event and activity management;
- event and activity health and safety.
We provide a comprehensive What's On Programme twice yearly from September to March and April to August.
Children's holiday activities are available for Easter, Summer and October and there is a full dance programme for Summer Season of Scottish Country Dance. You can find details of our activities and events in our Events Diary.

Prime Time 50+ Programme
Prime Time is a twice yearly programme for the 50+ market offering:
- Fitness classes
- Theatre excursions
- Excursions to places of interest
- Guided walks

- Fairs and events
Seasonal Activities
Events include:
- Summer and Winter Festival
- Easter Bunny Search
- Search for Santa
- Annual season of Scottish Country Dance
Community Training Programme

Research Information & Development
Research Information & Development is one of the key areas which make up Clackmannanshire Council's Leisure Team. This small department works closely to support the Indoor and Outdoor Facilities and also Activities and Events.
The main areas of responsibility for the department include:
- Monitoring and Evaluation - This department has responsibility for the monitoring and reviewing of all Leisure activities and events
- Identifying Funding Opportunities for the Leisure Team - This can help fund Leisure activities or facility development
- Community Consultations - Research Information & Development are committed to discovering the needs and views of the public. This is completed through continuous user surveying and the organisation of our annual Leisure census
- Researching Leisure Opportunities - Within the dynamic industry of Leisure, research is completed to keep the Team updated on Leisure trends and initiatives
- Producing the Leisure Team's end of year annual report
