The Clackmannanshire Ramblers September 2008 - July 2009 programme of walks is shown below. You can also view or download the programme of walks leaflet which contains a membership form.
- Annual membership costs £10.00.
- An additional charge (£9.00) is made for walks requiring coach travel.
- For all outings, meet at the Beam Engine House at the start time shown.
- Please note that return times are approximate.
- Booking is essential for all outings requiring coach travel. Telephone the Contact Centre on 01259 213131. Payment must be made at the time of booking.

Gartmorn Walk, 16th September 2008, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Join us on the first walk of the season meeting ramblers members old and new on this circular walk from the Beam Engine House at Fishcross around Clackmannanshire's jewel in the crown, Gartmorn Dam Country park.

Kingsbarns to St Andrews, 30th September 2008, 9.00am - 5.00pm
This section of the Fife Coastal Path hugs the coastal slope between the rocky shore and farmland.

Cambus, Alloa, 14th October 2008, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Fine views of the Ochil Hills and the River Devon. We will also visit the Cambus Pools, a Scottish Wildlife Trust site.

West Highland Way, Conic Hill, 28th October 2008, 9.00am - 5.00pm
We walk from Drymen to Balmaha over Conic Hill to be rewarded with spectacular views.

A walk through parkland, woods and minor roads around the village of Kippen with views of the Trossachs and the Carse of Stirling.

Enjoy views over the rolling hills of Perthshire from the summit of Laggan Hill (only 512 ft) then relax with a stroll along the beautiful, beech-lined avenue beside the River Earn which is Lady Mary's Walk.

Explore this old woodland visiting the Forbes family mausoleum and Victorian dog kennels.

A walk from Falkland up Maspie Den with its impressive waterfall, on to the Tyndall Bruce Monument, returning to the cars via Arraty Craigs.

Cambusmore, 17th February 2009, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
A favourite with the rambler. This walk is through quiet woods along the picturesque banks of the River Teith near Callander.

Blairgowrie River, 3rd March 2009, 9.00am - 5.00pm
From Blairgowrie we follow the River Ericht crossing the bridge to return alongside the river and through fields.

Glensherup Walk, 17th March 2009, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Starting at the Glensherup car park taking the High Road over the lower shoulder of Innerdownie to Glen Devon and returning to Glensherup by the Low Road.

Glen Ogle, 31st March 2009, 9.00am - 5.00pm
A walk going North from Lochearnhead up the old Caledonian Railway track bed. Returning on an old Military road and a way - marked trail. Visibilities permitting the views of Loch Earn, Ben Our, Ben Vorlich and Stuc a' Chroin are impressive.

Yellow Craigs Wood, 14th April 2009, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
A short but very steep ascent through the woods behind Logie Kirk, then round the base of Dumyat to Sheriffmuir.

Crinan Canal, 28th April 2009, 8.00am - 6.00pm
By popular request revisit the nine-mile motorway providing a passage between the West Highlands and the Atlantic Ocean and which took 23 years to complete. Fifteen locks, seven swing bridges, and lots of activity - fascinating!

Carron Glen from Dunipace, 12th May 2009, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Walk on the north side of the River Carron through Carron Glen and return via farm track and country lane. Parts of the walk can be wet and muddy.

Muirshiel Country Park, Greenock, 26th May 2009, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Enjoy stunning views of the Firth of Clyde and beyond on this circular walk which takes you through an ancient monument known as 'The Cut' - Greenock's water supply until it was superceded by a tunnel as recently as 1971.

Callander Crags, 9th June 2009, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Some very steep climbing initially (over 300m), then through varied woodlands leading to a wonderful viewpoint and returning via Bracklinn Falls.

Torness to Dunbar, 23rd June 2009, 8.30am - 5.00pm
Following the John Muir Way this coastal walk has geological and archaeological interest. Note the 8.30 start.
