Blue Bins

blue binIn 2009 we introduced a new blue bin collection.

Why the change?

A poll of the council's citizens' panel showed that householders 'wanted a greater range of household waste to be recycled and to have more secure storage space for their waste.'

These changes allow Clackmannanshire Council to meet its obligations to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. More information on this, is available from the Local Waste Plan page.

These items can go in your blue bin

Please use the blue bin to recycle as many of these materials as often as possible.

As well as increasing the amount of materials that are collected, we also want to continue to collect good quality, clean materials for recycling. This helps to maintain good markets for recycling both at home and abroad.

Do not put these items into your blue bin:

When is my blue bin emptied?

The blue bin will be collected every two weeks on the same day as the blue box. Please refer to your calendar to find out when that is.
