Bulky Uplifts
What is a Bulky Uplift?
The removal of household waste that is too big to fit in your bin. Examples of the type of waste might include broken furniture or domestic appliances.
How do I arrange a bulky uplift?
You can make a request by:
- telephoning 0500 545 540 (ELSA Freephone)
- visiting our offices at Lime Tree House Alloa
- visiting any Community Access Point.
How much does it cost?
We charge £27.00 from April 2009 for a bulky uplift of household waste.
Commercial Waste
Bulky uplifts of commercial waste are by arrangement. Please call 0500 545 540.
Council Tenants
For Clackmannanshire Council tenants, and some tenants of Paragon Housing Association, the charge is paid by the landlord from the rent income.
Free Uplift Service for Furniture

How do I pay?
To keep costs to the minimum we seek payment in advance. If telephoning you can pay by debit or credit card (Switch, Delta, Visa, or Mastercard). You can pay by debit/credit card, cash or cheque if visiting in person at Lime Tree House and by cash/cheque at Community Access Points.
How quickly will you come?
We aim to deal with requests within 5 working days of you contacting us. In other words a request made on Monday should be dealt with by the end of the working day on the Friday. We are sometimes a bit slower during peak times and during holiday periods.
Do I have to be there?
No. You will be asked to describe the waste to be collected and agree a location, which is usually the nearest accessible point to the roadway, when you contact us. Our main concern is that we collect the correct material from you and don't take the wrong thing by mistake.
To help us to do this we would ask that you ensure all waste items are presented in a suitable manner as in the picture below.
Items that are scattered and mixed as in the picture below become difficult to collect. Any bags that are burst or are overfilled will be left.
