Composting

Brown bins are used for the collection of garden waste. This is then taken to Polmaise where it is composted. Alternatively, you can compost a lot of this material at home together with your fruit and vegetable waste.
To help you do this, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Councils together with WRAP (the Waste & Resources Action Programme) are providing compost bins from only £8.
The compost bins illustrated below are indicative of the types and sizes of bin available.

The offer is subject to availability and is limited to 2 bins per household and to residents of Scotland only. Expect delivery within 28 days.
If you wish to cancel your order before the bin is delivered or if the bin has been delivered and you wish to return it, please phone the customer care line on 0845 076 0223 within 7 working days.
WRAP works in partnership to encourage and enable businesses and consumers to be more efficient in their use of materials and recycle more things more often. This helps to minimise landfill, reduce carbon emissions and improve our environment.
