Clackmannanshire Local Plan (Adopted) 1st Alteration (Housing Land)
Clackmannanshire Council submitted a 3rd Alteration to the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Structure Plan to the Scottish Ministers in July 2008, and they approved the Alteration on 16th June 2009. The scope of the Alteration considers only the housing land requirement in Clackmannanshire to 2025.
The Alteration specifically seeks to encourage population and economic growth throughout Clackmannanshire for an additional 2250 homes to that already planned for in Clackmannanshire.
A Local Plan Alteration that allocates specific sites to meet the projected strategic housing requirement for Clackmannanshire to 2017 was adopted in October 2011.
A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environmental Report was also prepared and open to public consultation and it highlights the environmental considerations to be taken into account when assessing which sites to allocate through the Alteration. All written representations to the proposed Local Plan (Finalised) Alteration were fully considered and reported to Council.
All unresolved objections to the Finalised Clackmannanshire Local Plan 1st Alteration (Housing Land) were passed to the Scottish Government's Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) for consideration on 4 February 2011.
The Examination Report has now been published and was reported to Council on the 18th August 2011. Council agreed to all of the Reporter's recommended modifications and a Finalised Plan including these modifications has been published. The Finalised Pan is now available to view online and at the Council Libraries and offices at Greenfield and Kilncraigs.
A copy has also been sent to Scottish Ministers and, provided no issues are raised by them, the Plan can continue to formal Adoption. This is likely to be near the end of September 2011.
