Outdoor Access
Outdoor access can mean different things to different people, but can be used to describe a host of activities ranging from everyday, recreational and health related access, such as taking the dog for a walk, walking to the shops, cycling or horse riding along the Devon Way; to more active pursuits, such as hill walking in the Ochils, rock climbing, orienteering, skiing, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and even wild camping.
Historically, Clackmannanshire has benefited from a dense network of safe off road public paths and rights of way, many of which are multi-user routes and have been created over the past 25 years. In order to facilitate greater access and enjoyment of the outdoors and to help you to understand where you can and can’t go, the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 grants the right of responsible access.
