What You Can Do
You can make a difference!
Sustainability is something we can all contribute towards every day. Wasteful use of resources not only costs us money, it increases pollution and causes avoidable environmental damage. If we are serious about being environmentally friendly and safeguarding our children's' future, then we need to change what we do and how we do it.
There are many ways you can help to avoid the needless waste of valuable resources and help contribute to sustainability, both at work and at home. If we are to make Clackmannanshire a more sustainable place, we need to lead by example.
By working together, we can make a real difference to quality of life for those within and outside the Council. Less waste means less need to transport rubbish to landfill sites, lower energy bills allowing resources to be redirected to service delivery and reduced pollution of water and air.
There are all sorts of ways you can make a difference, and you can start right now. It isn't just about "going green" and recycling your waste ... although that's a good start! Click on the links below to find out what you could be doing to make a difference - why not try out one or two of these ideas each week at work and at home - and before too long you'll be making a big difference!
These links are particularly aimed at Council staff, but the advice and ideas can be used anywhere - at work or at home.
