Home Energy Grants and Schemes

Save and Reward Home Insulation Scheme
One of the easiest ways to substantially save energy and cut your fuel bills is to fully insulate your home.
The Save and Reward Home Insulation Offer, provides discounted loft and cavity wall insulation to homeowners in Clackmannanshire.
Discounted costs
| 3 Bedroom Flat or House | Scottish Gas subsidised price | Cost if you receive qualifying benefits | Annual Energy Bill Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cavity Wall Insulation: | £250 | Free | £90 |
| Loft insulation (0-250mm) | £274 | Free | £110 |
Working with Scottish Gas and the Energy Saving Scotland advice centre (ESSAC) , we are offering discounted insulation to save homeowners money on future fuel bills.
You don't need to be a Scottish Gas customer to benefit from this scheme.
This scheme is also available free to homeowners over 70 or to people on certain qualifying benefits. To find out if you qualify for the free insulation, please call the Energy Saving Scotland Advice Centre on 0800 512 012.
If you spend £250 installing cavity wall insulation or £274 installing loft insulation in your home, you'll qualify for a £75 reward paid direct to you by postal order from Scottish Gas once the work has been completed.
In addition, Clackmannanshire Council offer a further £50 reward to the first 100 householders who install both cavity wall and loft insulation. This will be paid direct to you once Scottish Gas has completed installing both measures.
There is also the option of interest free credit over 1 or 2 years (subject to status). This means that the savings on your fuel bill could pay for the installation costs.
