Alpine Ski Leader Course
The Alpine Ski Leader Award is the qualification required by local authorities for those who wish to take pupils and other skiing on snow. It is a 7 day course of training which involves continuous assessment. Snowsport Scotland's conditions of entry to this course include
- teaching
- leading
- technical skiing
- mountain skills
Snowsport Scotland's conditions of entry to this course include
- having a minimum of 20 days on snow experience
- use of a Self Assessment form from SNSC (if a candidate is in any doubt, there should be assessment by qualified instructor)
- matching own performance with a video clip (on the SNSC website) showing skiing standard of ASL
- using Preparation for Alpine Ski-Leader Courses to prepare candidates
- being 18 years of age
Please note that attendance at a preparatory course is strongly recommended by SNSC for attendance on this course.

- 17th - 23rd March 2012
- Venue: Cairngorm
- Accomodation: Badaguish Centre, near Aviemore (self catering chalet)
- Cost: £455.00 (does not include lift pass or transport)
