Gymnastics

Gymnastics in Clackmannanshire is a priority sport.

Information is available on this page on the following:

Active Start Gymnastics

Active Start gymnastics offers pre-school children a structured session with basic gymnastics movements incorporating balancing, rolling and hand/eye coordination.

All 3 - 5 year old children will be working towards their Level 1, 2 and 3 pre-school proficiency awards through British Gymnastics. This is carried out during their session and for this they can receive a badge and certificate.

Sports Development Gymnastics Classes

Our Sports Development classes offer Beginner to Advanced sessions, which are available to all 5 - 14 year olds. Classes run from September to June and run in 3 x 10 week blocks.

Children can progress through the British Gymnastics Award Scheme and gain certificates and badges as they develop.

All Stars Gymnastic Club

This is a structured Gymnastics class which focuses on both artistic and rhythmic movement programmes.

The class is for both recreational and competitive gymnasts.

Scottish Schools Gymnastics Competition

The Scottish Schools Gymnastics Competition is run by Sports Development and is a qualifying event for the Scottish Schools Gymnastics Finals held in Perth.

The schools gymnastic event is a floor and vault two-piece competition and is held each year in November. Every school in Clackmannanshire and the Stirling Secondary Schools are invited to attend and compete.

For further information, please see our page entitled Sports Training Programme.

Individual Learning Account (ILA) Funding

ILA funding can be accessed towards covering the costs of going on any of the courses in the Sports Training Programme that take place in Clackmannanshire. Each year up to £200 can be accessed by people aged 16 and over, who earn less than £18,000 per annum. The money is not a loan so you don't need to worry about paying any of it back.
