Active Start is Clackmannanshire Council's pre-school provision of physical activity.
The Active Start team are part of the Council's Sports Development team and work closely with sports and movement colleagues and make a valuable contribution to the Council's commitment to physical activity and sport.
There is a team leader who drives the aims and objectives of the programme and 3 Active Start Development Officers who deliver the syllabus. These officers are all Positive Coaching Scotland accredited and they also use Makaton signing in the sessions they deliver.
Classes
Weekly sports development classes are provided in pre-school gymnastics, football and tennis at centres within the area for children aged 1 - 5 years.
