When can planning objections be made?
Search, View, Object and Comment on Clackmannanshire Planning Applications online at UK Planning
For all categories of application the law provides that the Council cannot determine an application until 14 days have passed after the receipt of a valid application. Landowners and agricultural tenants on the application site have 21 days to comment. Objections on valid planning grounds made in writing and received by the Council within the 14 days must be taken into account by the Council in reaching its decision.
Objections can be withdrawn in writing at any stage prior to a decision being made. Valid objections or representations received after the 14 day period has elapsed may be taken into account if the application has not yet been determined. A representation can take the form of a supporting letter submitted by the applicant or an agent acting on his/her behalf. The Council will use its discretion in respect of objections made during periods of public holidays.
Objection periods are extended by Councils for specific categories of application which are outlined under: How are Planning Application publicised?
