Licensing - Comments and Complaints
Clackmannanshire Council grants and renews Civic and Miscellaneous Licences including Street Traders, Second Hand Dealers, Late Hours Catering and Taxi and Private drivers and vehicles.
We are also responsible for the inspection of licensed taxis and private hire vehicles.
It is our aim to:
- enforce the conditions attached to the various licences
- maintain a high standard of vehicle inspection
- use positive comments to promote good practice
- carry out investigations into complaints raised against licence holders
- consider reports on valid complaints at our Regulatory Sub Committee meetings and if necessary suspend a licence, or impose, or vary the conditions of that licence.
We will pass the complimentary comments on to the licence holders and will investigate any complaints and take appropriate action.
