Strategic Environmental Assessment Environmental Report Non-Technical Summary
Clackmannanshire Council has prepared a Local Transport Strategy (LTS) for the period 2006 – 2009. The LTS sets out the Council’s aims, objectives, policies and strategies for the next three years addressing transport issues. As part of the LTS process a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is required. SEA is a systematic method for considering the likely environmental effects resulting from pursuance of the policies in the LTS. A scoping report has been prepared and consulted on by Scottish Natural Heritage, Historic Scotland, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Stirling Council. An Environmental Report was prepared in March 2006, however a non-technical summary was not included in that report and this document addresses that omission.
