Devon House Employability Service is managed by the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). The service is based in Alloa and provides support to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness who are over 18 years old and live in Clackmannanshire.
Devon House offers a range of social, recreational and educational activities which are designed to meet individual needs, develop individuals confidence and provide opportunity to gain new skills and attain their personal goals.
Devon House also runs The Wee County Project which is based in Tillicoultry and provides a weekly social activity group.
Counselling Service
The Devon House Counselling Service is managed by SAMH. The Counselling Service provides a service to individuals with mild to moderate mental illness who are over 18 years old and live in Clackmannanshire.
The service employs 2 full time Counsellors qualified to diploma level, who offer a block of 8 x 50 minutes counselling sessions to referred clients either at Devon House or in Health Centres in the Clackmannanshire area.
The Counselling Service offers support to individuals who may be experiencing depression due to adverse life events, sexuality issues, coping with illness and injury, work related issues, relationship issues and bereavement.
How to access the service
If you feel you would benefit from our service, please contact your GP, Social Worker or other professional you may be in contact with. They will refer you via the Single Referral Pathway, and we will aim to contact you within 6 weeks of receiving the referral.
