Self Help Courses and Mental Health Awareness
Educating our communities, raising awareness of mental health and promoting wellbeing is important in the prevention of mental health problems developing.
Preventative provision workshops and/or courses in the community are aimed at increasing resilience are now available.
These include:
- Moodjuice
- An established self help website offering worksheets and information on the self-management of less serious mental health problems.
- A database of mental health and community provision within Clackmannanshire within Moodjuice, offering full descriptions and contact details.
- Stress Control groups
- Evening classes, not group therapy.
- No need for referral, just turn up, sit back and learn some great ways to control stress, including panic and sleep problems.

- Living Life to the Full
- A mental health life skills course aimed at helping you to help yourself - read some testimonies from past participants. What people say about the course:

- A mental health life skills course aimed at helping you to help yourself - read some testimonies from past participants. What people say about the course:
- Mental Health Awareness Workshops
- Workshops are 2 - 3 hours in duration and can be delivered to local community groups.
- Aim to raise awareness of most common mental health problems and understanding of how these can affect an individual.
- Scottish Mental Health First Aid
- 5 staff members from the Integrated Service are qualified instructors to deliver SMHFA training and courses are regularly delivered within the local community.
