Integrated Mental Health Day Service - Preventative Provision

These include:
  • A new counselling service, based at Devon House, Alloa;
  • The installation of two Beating the Blues machines - a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach to the self management of anxiety and depression;
  • A marketing campaign within Primary Care to promote the use of Moodjuice, a mental health website offering worksheets and information on the self-management of less serious mental health problems;
  • The creation of a full database of mental health and community provision within Clackmannanshire within Moodjuice, offering full descriptions and contact details;
  • Stress Control groups within the disadvantaged areas of Clackmannanshire offering symptom management techniques and preventative measures. It will also incorporate practical assistance in terms of debt or benefit advice and childcare support.

    These groups will be co-facilitated by mainstream community colleagues.

Only SAMH counselling service is directly accessed through the Single Referral Pathway.
