Traffic Regulation Orders   RSS feed

A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is a legal order. Every time there is a need to close a street for repair works, to vary a speed limit on any road or to designate an area for on or off street parking, the Council must promote a TRO explaining the circumstances. The advert will include the reasons for the proposed changes and the likely effects they will have. TROs are required for many different restrictions including:

All new Traffic Regulation Orders will be published on this website. TROs currently being advertised by Clackmannanshire Council can be viewed in the "Proposed" menu on the right. Orders are also advertised in the Alloa Advertiser within the newspaper's section entitled "Clackmannanshire Council's Noticeboard".

Traffic Regulation Order Objection Process

If you have a reason why you feel the proposed action should not go ahead, you should send details of your grounds for objection in writing, quoting the name of the Traffic Regulation Order and the reference number to:

Head of Strategy and Customer Services
Greenfield
Alloa
FK10 2AD

Or view the Traffic Regulation Order you would like to object to and use the online feedback form provided.

Objections to the TRO must be received by the date advised in the order. Your letter or e-mail will be acknowledged once the objection period has lapsed (the objection period for a permanent TRO is usually 21 days). We will investigate your objection and advise you of our findings.

If you are not satisfied with the response given to your objection and you still feel there are reasons to object to the proposed changes, you should contact Head of Strategy and Customer Services at the above address. Depending on the reasons, your objection could progress to a "Hearing of Objections" held by an independent person or body. Fourteen days' notice will be sent to you detailing the date, time and place of the meeting.
