Dollar Glen

Path repairs to Core Path 143 through Dollar Glen, east of the burn between Mill Green and Castle Campbell have now been completed and this section of the path is now safe for use.

Dollar Glen is unmistakable with its imposing castle at its head. Castle Campbell or Castle Gloume, as it was known when acquired by 1st Earl of Argyll sits at the head of Dollar Glen. The main path crosses Dollar Burn and follows the West Side of the Glen where it emerges at the rear of the Castle.

There are other walks to the North providing access onto the open hillside. All the paths within the glen are owned and managed by the National Trust for Scotland
