Getting to Alloa by Rail
Regular direct services run from and to Glasgow, and there is also peak-time direct train services from and to Edinburgh, Monday to Friday. To travel from and to Edinburgh at other times, you need to change at Stirling.

Directions to Council Offices from Alloa Train Station
To Greenfield (approximately 5 minute walk)
- On exiting station, turn right and follow the pathway leading up towards Asda petrol station, which is situated on the left hand side.
- Go right at the junction up towards Station Bridge.
- Cross the bridge and use the pedestrian crossing immediately in front.
- Follow the path to the left towards Greenfield, which is situated in park land.
To Lime Tree House (approximately 15 minute walk)
- From station, take pathway straight ahead to pedestrian crossing (Asda on left).
- Use pedestrian crossing to cross King Street and climb steps/ramp towards town centre.
- Take first left into shopping area.
- Turn right to bus station at Shillinghill.
- Continue straight through the town centre along Shillinghill, Mill Street and Bank Street.
- Continue to war memorial, which is situated on the right hand side at the end of Bank Street.
- Cross the road and follow the walkway towards Lime Tree House, which is signposted.
- Lime Tree House is visible from the walkway and sits on the right hand side.
To Kilncraigs (approximately 10 minute walk)
- From station, take pathway straight ahead to pedestrian crossing (Asda on left).
- Use pedestrian crossing to cross King Street and climb steps/ramp towards town centre.
- Take first left into shopping area.
- Turn right to bus station at Shillinghill and walk towards town centre.
- Cross over the road and turn left at 'The Junction' pub and walk round to the right past the 'Old Brewery' pub towards Lidl on East Vennel.
- Turn left just before Lidl and walk down pathway to pedestrian crossing.
- Kilncraigs is a large glass fronted former mill building, and is on the opposite side of the pedestrian crossing on Greenside Street.
